Sources and Credits

1. Where listings come from
Most of what you find in inklan is posted by Members and Organisations. Some event listings, though, come from event platforms and from the public agendas, open-data portals and website event calendars of public bodies in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Germany. Each of those events names, in the app, the sources it comes from and their licences. This page lists every source, the licence it publishes under, and the reference data we use to place listings on the map.
None of the public bodies and platforms named on this page sponsors or endorses inklan. We do not control their listings and do not warrant that they are accurate or current. Section 5 of our Terms & Conditions explains what that means for you.
2. Event platforms
- Ticketmaster — ticketmaster.com: events from its Discovery API, and the nightly files of the events it sells in Spain, Italy, France and Germany
- Xceed — xceed.me: nightlife events from its public event API
- Google Events — public events found by Google, which we retrieve through SerpApi
A ticket for one of these events is bought from the platform or seller that offers it, under its own terms.

4. The licences, and how we credit
- Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) — the Italian agendas, except the Regione Lombardia and the Open Data Hub; several Spanish and Portuguese ones; and, in Germany, Ingolstadt and Neuss. Berlin publishes its market lists, and the Ajuntament de Vilanova i la Geltrú its agenda, under the Creative Commons Attribution licence (CC BY).
- Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) — the Xunta de Galicia and the Ayuntamiento de Málaga.
- Llicència oberta d'ús d'informació – Catalunya — the Generalitat de Catalunya's cultural agenda, Programa.cat performances and calendar of fairs. It requires us to name the source and the date of its last update.
- CC0 — the Regione Lombardia and the Open Data Hub. CC0 asks for no credit; we credit them anyway.
- Licence Ouverte / Open Licence (Etalab, version 1.0 or 2.0) — the French agendas. That licence, and French law for any reuse of public information (Article L.322-1 of the Code des relations entre le public et l'administration), require us to name each source and the date of its last update. SIRTAQUI also asks to be credited as "SIRTAQUI" with that date.
- Datenlizenz Deutschland – Zero – 2.0 — Köln and Moers. It requires no credit; we credit them anyway.
- Datenlizenz Deutschland – Namensnennung – 2.0 — the German reference data in section 6.
Each event in the app credits every source it comes from, with its licence. On an event's page, the credit of each French public source is followed by the date that source last updated the listing or, where it gives none, the date we last checked the listing against it. The Generalitat de Catalunya's cultural agenda, Programa.cat performances and calendar of fairs, and the agendas of the Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza and the Ayuntamiento de Cartagena, are dated the same way. German law sets no duty to show an update date, so the German credits carry none.
5. How we adapt listings
Listings from these sources are adapted, not copied as published. Their text is converted to plain text, and long descriptions are shortened. Names written in capitals are shown in ordinary case. Dates and places are put into a common format. Listings of the same event from several sources are merged into one, which credits them all.
6. Reference data for placing listings
When a listing names only its town, we place it there using these official lists of municipalities.
